The Margaret River Integrated Mental Health Network (MRIMHN) is a working group established to support and enhance the patient experience and staff wellbeing in the Margaret River Hospital Emergency Department (ED) for mental health and suicide-related presentations.

This initiative builds upon the Emergency Department Suicide Prevention Project, which concluded in March 2024, to address systemic challenges and promote community-based responses to improve outcomes for patients, staff, and the wider mental health consumer network.

Led by Mind-Ed and supported by the Suicide Prevention Coordinators of St John of God Social Outreach, and WA Country Health Service (WACHS), the MRIMHN seeks to implement practical, community-driven solutions and work in partnership with ED staff to support the enhancement of internal WACHS processes while fostering broader improvements in care and communication through improved community support and collaboration.
