Professional Liaison Team

Collaboration - Connection - Advocacy

The overarching purpose of the Professional Liaison Team (PLT) is to work alongside the Board of Mind-Ed to assist in mobilising and coordinating the efforts of Mind-Ed within the community of Augusta Margaret River.

Members of the PLT will be able to further the objectives of Mind-Ed by communicating in four directions.

That is:
1. Supporting the Board of Mind-Ed to achieve strategic goals
2. Collaborating with other members of the PLT to better understand each other’s work and to coordinate efforts between agencies
3. Providing communication links with PLT members’ own organisations to build shared understanding between their agency and Mind-Ed and
4. Being actively engaged with members of the PLT and Mind-Ed to further the goal of enhancing levels of mental health and wellbeing in the Augusta Margaret River community.

In particular, the PLT will provide effective linkage between the Board and agencies whose function is related to the purpose of Mind-Ed. It is intended that meetings between the Board and the PLT will be conversations where we put our heads together to build a shared picture of the current state of services, the emerging needs, and what needs particular attention.

Membership of the Professional Liaison Team may be drawn from other parts of the community, including people with lived experience of mental ill-health.

This group meets quarterly with individual services or smaller working groups working on collaborative projects throughout the year.
