SUMMARY:SOLD OUT - Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) - MARGARET RIVER (June 4 & 5)
DESCRIPTION:This two-day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop is for anyone aged 18 or older\, regardless of prior experience or training\, who are interested in learning suicide first-aid skills to become an ASIST-trained caregiver. Over the two-day course\, you will develop the comfort\, knowledge\, and skills to confidently and competently intervene to support someone at risk of suicide. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nDelivered in five sections\, participants will progressively learn the skills to identify risk\, to connect sensitively with someone experiencing suicidal thoughts and/or behaviours\, and to effectively support them to keep safe\, utilising your own skills as well as available resources and services. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThis training has been generously funded by WA Primary Health Alliance. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nREGISTRATION: \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPlease arrive at 8.45am so you have time to register\, etc. before a 9am start. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nVENUE: \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nShire of Augusta Margaret River \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n41 Wallcliffe Rd\, Margaret River WA 6285\, Australia \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCATERING: \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMorning tea\, lunch and refreshments are provided. DESCRIPTION:Community Pantry Food bags\n\n\n\nFriday is Pantry Day\n\n\n\nEach Friday between 10:30am and 12pm we welcome members of the community to access a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables\, dry good staples\, dairy and frozen meat.We are open for donations between 9am – 11am on Thursdays\, and 9am – 10:30am on Fridays.  \n\n\n\nWe especially welcome excess home grown produce!All are welcome and we have a suggested weekly donation of $10.  \n\n\n\nOur motto is “Give what you can\, receive what you need”.
