Empowerment and Respect

Community-led groups can function as central pillars for driving whole-of-community action to prevent violence against women and children. 

Through our work in community and in collaboration across service sectors, it is evident that the Augusta Margaret River community would benefit from the formation of a community-led no-to-violence group. 

The Empowerment and Respect Alliance is committed to undertaking primary prevention action to prevent violence from occurring.

What can a community do?

• TAKE A STAND!  Join us in saying violence of any kind is unacceptable and will not be accepted in our community
• Increase our community’s understanding of the drivers of gendered violence
• Improve whole of community family and domestic violence literacy
• Increase understanding of local supports and services – Find them here
• Support NO to violence campaigns to open the conversation
