Mind-Ed is the community’s trusted connector for mental health and wellbeing—bridging the gap between local people and the support they need through advocacy, education, and collaboration. We partner with local services, schools, and government agencies to ensure our region is not only seen—but supported.

Our Mission

To champion mental health and wellbeing in Augusta Margaret River region by connecting the community to trusted support, empowering individuals through early intervention and preventative education, strengthening local networks through advocacy and collaborative action.


What we do

How do we do it?

We facilitate local early intervention and prevention programs such as safeTALK, MHFAT and ASIST. We develop and delivery responsive programs to help community members build mental health and suicide literacy such as the TALC (Talk-Ask-Listen-Connect) workshops: Accidental Counsellor and Peer Support in Organisations. We facilitate community, government agencies, not-for-profit services and local groups to work together on mental health challenges through our Professional Liaision Team. We work with partners to provide and maintain a coordinated information hub (Support) to make looking for support easier to access. We deliver health and local service promotion campaigns to reduce stigma and build community awareness of local suppot available (Services Spotlights and Locals Talking with Locals campaigns). We develop and deliver targeted health promotions to increase community awareness and mental health literacy line with state and national campaigns. We lead a number of collaborative community advocacy network to support our community like the Margaret River Integrated Mental Health Network and a local no to violence action group.
