Erin Statz is a visionary leader and community builder with over 26 years of experience in the human services sector across Australia and Canada. As Chief Executive Officer of Mind-Ed, Erin has become a driving force for positive change in the Margaret River region, championing mental health, wellbeing, and community connection.

 

Throughout her career, Erin has held senior positions at local, state, and federal levels, where she has led teams, managed complex projects, and developed innovative solutions to social challenges. Her leadership journey has taken her through roles in government, health, disability services, and community development, where she has been instrumental in shaping policy, coordinating disaster response, and building partnerships that empower individuals and strengthen communities.

 

Erin’s strategic approach and ability to unite people around a shared vision have been central to her impact. She has guided Mind-Ed in implementing community-driven mental health and wellbeing plans.   Her work has fostered collaboration between individuals, families, service providers, and local organisations, ensuring that support systems are accessible and effective for all.

 

With a deep commitment to capacity building, Erin has worked extensively with vulnerable individuals and families, supported staff and volunteers through organisational change, and championed initiatives in women’s health, First Nations health, family and domestic violence and disability inclusion. Her lived experience as migrant, mother, and mental health in rural Australia gives her unique insight and empathy for those navigating support systems in regional communities.

 

Through her leadership, Erin continues to inspire collaboration and innovation, ensuring that the Margaret River community is more connected, empowered, and equipped to thrive.
